ABOUT THE DEAL
What does the deal include?
This Groupon deal includes a 45 minute boudoir session and 3 Standard Digital Files or a $75 product credit. In addition, you’ll receive an in-person or phone consultation, a Private Peepshow of your images and personal order assistance. I’m always only an email away if you have any questions or would like help in styling your shoot (picking out outfits, deciding what would be flattering, etc). A Private Peepshow is what we call the appointment when you see your images and place your order. Private Peepshows are done at the studio 1-2 weeks from your session.
What type of session can I use the deal for?
This deal is for boudoir sessions only.
What can I NOT use this deal for?
This deal can not be used for any other type of photography, including family, children, maternity, engagement, etc.
Can anyone else be photographed with me?
You will be the only person being photographed during your session. I do not currently offer couples sessions.
Can I use my deal for multiple services and/or visits?
No, each deal can only be used for one session as listed on the deal.
What about hair and makeup?
Hair and makeup is not included in this deal, though it is available as an add-on. Please inquire about this when you book your session so that I can check schedules with my preferred hair and makeup artists.
ABOUT THE SESSION
What days can I book my session?
All Behind Closed Doors Sessions and Peepshows take place on Fridays or Saturdays by appointment only. The studio is not open Sunday through Thursday.
Where will the session take place?
Your session will take place at my studio Memory Lane Portrait Boutique. The studio is located in Elkhart at 1234 Johson Street Suite I; Elkhart, IN 46514. It’s in the Johnson Baldwin Crossing plaza, the same building as The Beauty Shoppe. Please be aware that Behind Closed Doors is a division of Memory Lane Portrait Boutique and the sign does not say Behind Closed Doors.
Are outfits and/or lingerie provided?
You will bring your own outfits and lingerie as they are not provided by the studio. I do have a small assortment of jewelry and accessories which can be used.
Who will be there during my session?
The only people in the room for your session will be Crystal (the photographer) and you, the client. If you do bring a friend, they are welcome to sit in the lobby (within hearing distance) during your actual session.
How long is my session?
Your session is 45 minutes long. The first 10 minutes are set aside for you to settle in, to give us time to chat and go through your outfits and for you to get dressed. After we finish the shoot, you’ll have a few minutes to wrap up and get changed into street clothes. I ask that if you have any in-depth questions after the shoot to please schedule a phone chat with me to go over them so that I have time to be ready for my next session.
What should I wear TO the shoot?
Please wear loose fitting clothing that will not leave marks on your skin. Be mindful of the bra you wear as bras often leave red marks or indentations on your skin.
Do you do nude photography?
Yes, but I do not do obscene images. Legs are closed and are posed to hide intimate anatomy.
How sexy do I need to go?
Only as sexy as you feel comfortable! For some women, that’s “implied nudity” using a white sheet or sexy lingerie. For some, it’s a tank top and boy shorts. For others, maybe it’s a sexy dress. In any case, I’ll NEVER pressure you for a level of sexiness or undress that’s not right for you. I believe wholeheartedly that sexiness has nothing to do with how much skin is showing.
Will you airbrush/retouch my photos?
Yes, digital retouching is standard in all of my packages, unless you’d rather I not. Most retouching begins and ends with skin smoothing as that’s all most women need. Retouching does not mean I’ll be changing the shape of your body or making you look like someone you’re not. I don’t get rid of freckles and beauty marks (unless you request that I do) because that’s part of what makes you who you are. And you’re beautiful the way that you are!
Will my images be posted on your blog/website/Facebook?
Not unless you sign one of BCD’s model release allowing me to use your images for promotional purposes. You will be able to veto images that you feel are too intimate or you just would not like shared. You’ll never be surprised by seeing an image anywhere that you weren’t expecting!
Do I own the copyright for the images from my session?
Memory Lane Portrait Boutique retains ownership and copyright of all images, however clients will be granted the right to personal, non commercial use of the images and files that they purchase. Images may not be copied, sold, or published by the client without written agreement by Memory Lane Portrait Boutique.

How soon can my session take place?
Groupon deals are active the day after they run. Please keep in mind that sessions are booked due to availability and I only offer a limited number of sessions per week so that I can give each client the personal attention they deserve. Be sure to book your session date as soon as possible and well in advance of any gift giving occasion.
I would like my photos to be a gift for my significant other. How far in advance should I book?
Plan for your Peepshow (ordering appointment) to take place 2-3 weeks prior to your gift giving occasion.
When does my deal expire?
Ninety days from purchase. That means that all sessions must be booked by that day. Please do not wait until the last minute as there will likely be plenty of ladies doing exactly that!
What if I need to reschedule?
I know things come up, so I’m happy to reschedule your session one time with a minimum of 48 hours notice. A $50 change fee is applied to all additional reschedules. A cancellation/no show is a forfeiture of your voucher.
Do I have to sign a contract?
All Behind Closed Doors clients must sign a contract upon booking their session. We complete all of our booking and contract information online.
How long after my session can I order prints?
After we schedule your session, we will schedule a date for your Private Peepshow to take place within one to two weeks of your session date. Most orders are delivered to your home 7-12 days later.
How do I place my order?
You will be able to place your order at your Private Peepshow, which is held at the studio. We’ll go through all of your images individually and I will show you all of the different product options. I’ll help you every step of the way to help you get the products that suit your needs.
How many images from my session will I get to choose from?
You will have between 20-25 images at view at your your Private Peepshow from which you can choose. I shoot many more than that during your session, but after throwing away any with closed eyes, movement blur, etc, I keep only the best of the best for your viewing.
What if I want a different product?
Your deal includes 3 Standard Digital Files or a $75 product credit. You’re more than welcome to purchase additional products and/or prints from your session.
When and where can I pick up my order?
Most orders are shipped directly to your home 7-12 days of your Peepshow.

Absolutely! Click here to see the price list.
What forms of payment do you accept?
I accept credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover), cash and checks. If paying by check, your order will be held until the check clears the bank. There is a $50 returned check fee if the check bounces. All orders must be paid in full before I will place the order with my vendors for your prints and products.
How soon after the shoot can I see my images?
Your Private Peepshow will be ready within one to two weeks of your session, so you won’t have to wait long!
I missed the Groupon deal; can I still schedule a session?
Yes! The Groupon deal was set for 72 hours, but we continuously offer boudoir photography as a core service.
